Workshop Rules (details)

0. Don't not give a shit.

1. Clean up after yourself and then some.

Do not leave your station without cleaning up.

Members are expected to help take care of the workshop. This means a small assist once a month, and a large one once a year. See Membership Tasks for more information.

When the last consumable item is pulled from storage, the item MUST be added to the Quartermaster Manifest in the Kitchen.

Colors

Tom Sachs workshop had a color scheme for the shop that created a consistent feel. We should do the same.

I think we should adopt the old recommended color schemes proposed by Faber Birren. They feel "official" while still being whimsical.

Book: Color for Interiors, Historical and Modern - Faber Birren

Color Purpose Notes
Yellow Safety tripping/stumbling hazards
Peach Cafeteria for appetite
Orange Safety hazards that can cause severe injury
Salmon Bathroom sense of well-being
Red Safety fire safety
Maroon Birren's Favorite Color Pol's favorite color of purple/red, the color of the Mitsubishi 9850 Pencil
Pink Indicator To make things easier to find against green or blue
Purple Royalty The blaze of a billiard table
Wedgewood Blue Birren's Dining Room Color
Blue Indicator Equipment that needs attention or repair
Blue-green Operating room walls
Green Indicator First Aid
Go Away Green Indicator Ignore this thing. It's a Disney thing.
Light Green Fatigue Color for best fatigue reduction, control rooms
Black Indicator Indicate heavy objects (or make something seem heavier)
